Our classes are instructed by a NJ State Certified Teacher and a teacher assistant. Class size is limited to 15 children. The daily schedule includes circle time, free play, outdoor time, small group, music and movement, individual activities including math and literacy skills, and a rest time. Free breakfast, lunch,and snack are also served.
The 3 year old classroom
The 3 year old classroom serves children 3-4 years old. It is designed to prepare children for the pre-kindergarten class. Children are introduced to pre-reading and math concepts, prepares children to play cooperatively and provides many opportunities for language development.
The introduction of rules and routines allow children to become confident, independent learners. Teachers prepare individual and group lessons according to The Creative Curriculum in order to foster each child's fine and gross motor development, emerging language skills and cognitive development. Teachers also individualize education for each child by creating child specific activities.
The 4 year old classroom
The 4 year old classroom serves children 4-5 years old. This is a pre-kindergarten classroom that is set up to introduce pre-literacy and pre-math skills needed for kindergarten. It also focuses on fine and gross motor skills, language building, and social skills needed for elementary learning. Teachers use The Creative Curriculum for lesson planning and assessing children's development throughout the year. Teachers also individualize education for each child by creating child specific activities to prepare each child for kindergarten.
